I'll never stay there again. The rooms were cold even though the heat was set to 70, resulting in ice on the inside of the windows. The breakfast service was extremely slow, with no one attending to us for 15 minutes.
The location of the hotel is great, directly on the beach with a lovely Tiki bar nearby. However, the rooms were dark and outdated, and noise from the Tiki bar outside could be bothersome, although the entry issue was resolved promptly after the first night.
The hotel is situated wonderfully right on Lake Huron, boasting a direct beach access and a fabulous tiki bar. The rooms, while clean and peaceful, had some minor maintenance issues. The service was warm and welcoming, though focused more on bar patrons than table guests. The dining experience left much to be desired with overcooked food and slow service. The location is outstanding, offering beautiful views and convenient access to downtown and Tawas Point State Park.
